Architecture masterpiece honors Vietnam’s natural beauty

In partnership with French project management consultancy Artelia Group, the winning architectural design for the central part of the Venezia Beach project, Sheraton Binh Chau Resort & Spa, two condominiums, and the Clubhouse was submitted by Aedas, overcoming prestigious international competition in Gensler and Andy Fisher Workshop.

The representative of Aedas said that Sheraton Binh Chau Resort & Spa will not be a massive and rigid concrete structure but will be characterized by a pleasant softness that attracts the eye with its overall appearance imitating the waves of the sea embracing the long shore. This flexible shape also helps increase the number of sea view rooms, each with a large balcony, minimising the visual impact of coastal buildings to maintain the natural beauty of Vietnam.

The design is a subtle play on space, evoking the shape of hillside caves in the middle of a bountiful tropical forest and the charm of the sun rising over the beach, highlighting the beauty of Vietnam and the southern region.

The judges at Artelia highly appreciated Aedas's overall floor plan which included a clear division between the areas of the two twin towers, the Clubhouse and the hotel, and the convention centre while providing easy access to each area. According to Artelia, the concept and facades of the two twin towers are impressive, helping to maximise the number of sea view rooms, creating great interior spaces and landscape design. The rooms are both spacious and ensure privacy.

The Clubhouse was inspired by the shape of a traditional Vietnamese fishing boat, linking the pool with the surrounding green area and the sea. Visitors can enjoy the two connected water surfaces from the rooftop cafe.

The interior area and the Clubhouse were designed to create a visual connection with the beach. The low-rise blocks near the coast will be prioritised for green areas. The expanded sea front area is utilised to expand the public space, facilities, and landscape.

When selecting a designer, with its experience from implementing more than 100 projects all over the world (four of which have won the International Property Awards last year), Aedas has met Artelia's rigorous assessment criteria and the fastidious requirements for branding, quality, and the value of experience.

In developing the hotel and other parts of Venezia Beach, Hung Vuong Developer JSC is proving its ability through co-operations with prestigious partners. Remarkably, the architectural planning, model units, and interiors are undertaken by TwoG Architecture. Infrastructure planning is the work of Indochine Engineering, a partner of many high-end hotel chains throughout Vietnam. Palm Landscape – the winner of several global awards for quality and environmentally-friendly design – is in charge of landscape design and the general contractor is Central Cons – one of the leading construction companies in the country.
